Jimmy “Jimmie” Ray Davis, age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Born in Forest, Mississippi, on July 29, 1950, to Eletha Moore Davis and Willie Davis, Jimmie was one of six siblings—three sisters and two brothers.
An accomplished tailor, Jimmie had a gift for working with his hands and a heart for helping others. In his later years, he continued to serve his community by mending clothing, offering his skills freely and with care. Despite facing the challenges of mental illness, Jimmie maintained a wide circle of friends and touched many lives with his kindness and unique spirit.
Jimmie’s creativity was deeply intertwined with his faith. He crafted posters, headpieces, and ornaments from pop cans and promotional materials, each one proclaiming his trust in Jehovah. His living space was a testament to his devotion, adorned with Bible verses and expressions of belief.
Though he never married, Jimmie is believed to be survived by his siblings and a niece residing in Salina, Kansas.
Services will be private, held at the convenience of his family.
