Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home & Crematory - SalinaJoshua “Josh” Brandon Davis, age 41, of Salina, Kansas, passed from this life on Saturday, August 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, resilience, and quiet devotion.
He was born beneath the wide skies of Colby, Kansas, on October 10, 1983. Josh was the chosen child of Keli (Todd) and Bruce Burfield.
On November 15, 2014, in the gentle heart of Wells, Kansas, Josh married Angela. Their union was a sanctuary of love, laughter, and shared dreams. Together, they raised a family that became the center of his world.
Josh is lovingly remembered by his wife, Angela; his chosen daughter, Mariah Riddick; and his chosen son, Marvin Riddick Jr., all of Salina; his sisters, Heather Colonnese, Shannon Colonnese; and his aunt, Sister Carol Davis. He was a proud grandfather to Izzabella, Lilly, Hunter, and Willow—each a bright light in his life, each a chapter in the story he helped write.
He is preceded in death by his biological mother, Peggy Davis and his grandparents, Gary and Toni Davis.
To those who knew him, Josh was a steady presence—a man of quiet kindness, deep loyalty, and a heart that beat for his family. His absence leaves a silence that echoes with love.
Cremation was chosen, as per his wishes.
Two memorial services will be held to celebrate Josh’s life and spirit:
- Saturday, August 23 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, Salina, Kansas
- Sunday, August 24 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Spiritualist Church, Wells, Kansas
Donations may be made to Angela Davis to support the education of Josh’s grandchildren—his living legacy.
