OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Jimmy Lee (Jimbo) aka "Chico" Densmore, age 69 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 10 AM on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Oak Grove Methodist Church, 104 South Horner Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Reverends Keith Murray and Jimbo Herring will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Kilbourne Cemetery in Kilbourne, Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Oak Grove Methodist Church, 104 South Horner Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Jimbo suddenly passed into eternal life on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Bastrop, Louisiana.
Jimbo "Chico" Densmore never met a stranger. If so, he soon was not a stranger, he would talk to everyone. He was an avid hunter, especially deer hunting and loved to show you pictures from his 20 deer cameras that he daily monitored. He loved farming and pipelining which were his occupations. Jimbo was a dedicated LSU fan and Oak Grove Tiger fan. He loved playing with and aggravating his 3 grandsons. Chico was a graduate of Oak Grove High School where he played football and attended Oklahoma Tech. He married his better half 46 years ago. Jimbo farmed, worked as pipeliner, and worked at Green Point Ag making friends wherever he went.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Raymond Densmore and Marolyn Lingo Densmore.
Jimbo is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rhonda Mae (Maxwell) Densmore of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Jessica Densmore of Mer Rouge, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Lacey Densmore of Oak Grove; son, Joey Densmore of Oak Grove; 3 grandsons: Reid Densmore, Turner Densmore, and River Densmore; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Shelly Densmore of Oak Grove; brother, Kenny Densmore of Oak Grove; and sister, Debbie Densmore of Oak Grove.
Pallbearers are: Shane Maxwell, Josh Maxwell, Josh Fowler, Jim Lingo, Lindy Carl Lingo, and Dusty Rouse.
Honorary Pallbearers are his grandsons, Reid, River, and Turner.
Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Methodist Church, or M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas
