Jimmy Evans, 74, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Jimmy Evans was born in Roswell, New Mexico on August 22, 1951 to JD and Leona Evans. He was the baby of the family with two big sisters, Patricia and Velma.

Jimmy went to high school in Muleshoe Texas where he met his sweetheart, D'Linda Loyd. They were married October 16, 1971. Jimmy and D'Linda have three daughters, Stacy Leach, Leslie Keele, and Kristina Prichard.

Jimmy worked in many roles during his life. In his younger days he worked in his parent's Spudnut shop. After marriage, he went to electronics school and worked on fighter planes that went to Vietnam. As his family grew, he managed cable TV systems. As cable TV began to change, he moved to commercial utilities construction. Later in life, Jimmy drove charter buses and school buses.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, JD and Leona Evans, and his sister Patricia Conduff. Jimmy is survived by his wife D'Linda Evans of Paris, Texas, three daughters, Stacy Leach and husband Chris Leach of Lubbock, Texas, Leslie Keele and husband Tim Keele of Paris, Texas, Kristina Prichard and husband Adam Prichard of Benton, Arkansas, and sister Velma Grisham of Hurst, Texas. He has seven grandchildren, Caleb Keele of Paris, Texas, Taylor Prichard of Benton, Arkansas, Justin Keele of Blair, Oklahoma, Katie Allen of Paris, Texas, Connor Leach of Lubbock, Texas, Kelly Leach of Lubbock, Texas, and Preston Prichard of Benton, Arkansas. He has two great-grandchildren, Koe Keele of Paris, Texas and Wrenley Keele of Paris, Texas.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Blossom Church of Christ with Jeremiah Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery with Tim Keele, Caleb Keele, Justin Keele, Zach Allen, Adam Prichard, Taylor Prichard, Preston Prichard, Christopher Leach and Connor Leach serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM Friday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
