Jimmy Wayne "Ace" Fleming, a resident of Slaughter, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025 at his home. He was 78 years old and was retired from Wyesco with 22 years of service. Visitation will be at Slaughter First Baptist Church on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025 from 9am until service at 12pm. Burial will be in Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Zachary. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen "Kathy" Fleming. Their children, David Wayne Fleming and wife, Adele, Tonya Marie Knost and husband, Eddie, and Kevin Lee Fleming and wife, Jessie. Grandchildren, Cameron and Delaney Brown, Laney Fleming, Dylan Fleming, Knox Fleming, and Avery Fleming. Great grandchildren, Sadie Katherine and Cameron Claire Brown. His first cousin, Linda Fleming, numerous nieces and nephews and his fur baby, Gizmo. He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Ida Lee Fleming, siblings, Bobbie Jean Hamilton, Virgie Mae Bridges, Carol Lee, Walter David Fleming, Jr., Ronnie Earl Fleming and Glynn Fleming. And by his nephew, David Keith Fleming. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Poe, Eddie Knost, Dylan Fleming, Cameron Brown, Todd Bridges, Steve Cupit, Knox Fleming, Butch McLin.and PJ Bourgeois. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Fleming. "Ace" was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time at his camp in Cocodrie. He was a master brick mason, talented musician, especially on his 12-string guitar. He was a woodworker, gardener and artist just to name a few of his hobbies. The Family wishes to extend very special thanks to David Fleming, Linda Fleming and Kathy Taylor with Hospice of Baton Rouge for all
the care and compassion given to our "Ace".
