Jimmy Marvin Flick

Jimmy Marvin Flick "Jim", of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on March 25, 2026.

Born on December 24 1953, in Oak Ridge TN, Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who lived a life marked by hard work, kindness, and a deep love for his family. He was the son of Marvin and Betty Flick and spent most of his life in the Oak Ridge community he proudly called home.

Jim was a Vietnam era army veteran and was known for being a dedicated worker at every job he held, earning the respect and friendship of those around him. In his free time, Jim enjoyed watching sports, especially his VOLS, and old westerns. Jim was known to love his cats and provided a loving home to many cats in his life by adopting neighborhood strays and cats from the local animal shelter. Jim especially cherished time spent with his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debbie Williams Flick of Oak Ridge TN, daughter Shannon Harness and husband Scotty of Oak Ridge TN, son Gary Province Jr. and wife Haven of Briceville TN, granddaughter Sydnie Harness of Oak Ridge TN, brother John Flick, and several nieces and nephews. Jim was loved by many friends who were family to him including Jack Johnson and wife Robin, Carl Monroe, Cleo Monroe, and Jim Boullie and wife Kathy. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Flick and Betty, sister Sharon, and brother Timmy Flick.

Jim will be remembered for his love for his family and friends, his kindness, and humor. Jim would tell us stories of growing up in Oak Ridge and have himself and everyone laughing. He always had a funny story for us. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at Weatherford's Mortuary in Oak Ridge TN at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Jim's family requests donations be made to the Oak Ridge animal shelter in his memory.
