Jimmy is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 49 years Minnie (Montanez) Hensley; daughters Jocelyn Hensley-Holub and husband Zach, Lorraine Hensley and partner Demetrio Munoz Jr., and Melinda Hoffman and husband Adam; sister Esperanza Gonzales; grandchildren: Bianca Rodriguez, Jillian Navarrete, Kimberly Rodriguez, Aubrianna Sanchez, Rio Sanchez, and Jaelyn Navarrete; great–grandchildren: Brielle Bird, Kiyah Rodriguez and Ronnie Shane Calderon III.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery (new section) with Military Honors provided by the Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Monday followed by a Rosary at 6 p.m. at West Funeral Home.
