Jimmy Horace Howard

Jimmy Horace Howard, age 71, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Allen and Rev. Freddie Hogg officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service in the sanctuary from 1:30 pm until 2:45pm. Burial will be in the family plot at Orange Hill Cemetery with Mr. Tommy Dawson officiating.
Jimmy was born on November 27, 1951 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He was a member of the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school director, song leader and choir member for many years. Jimmy was also a veteran having served in the United States Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his mother, Chalene King Cross and step father, Rev. Mobley Cross; father, Ramsey Horace Howard and sisters, Jan Whigam and Loriann Howard.
Those left to forever cherish his memory include his wife, Cheryl McKie Howard of Hawkinsville, Georgia; sons, Clay (Mack Morrell) McCall of Leesburg, Georgia and Ramsey (Jaclyn) Howard of Hawkinsville, Georgia; daughters, Amy (Bucky) Green of Byron, Georgia and Joni (Justin) Ross of Hawkinsville, Georgia; brothers, Terry (Dena) Cross, Wayne (Joyce) Cross and Randall (Kimberly) Cross; grandchildren, Kodi (Hadley) Green, Jade Green, Tyler (Annie) McCall, Haylie Green, Dustin (Sydney) McCall, McKie McCall, Ramsey Howard, Gracie Green, Izzy Ross, Brantley Ross, Avery Howard, Baron Howard and Lakelyn Howard. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Sophie McCall, Emorie McCall, Ivy Green and Tucker McCall.
