Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, September 20, 2025, Jimmy Milton McDaniel, 74, loving husband of 52 years to Tillie McDaniel.
Jimmy was a native of Augusta, GA and retired from DSM Chemical as a supervisor after 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and loved the Lord. Most of all, Jimmy adored and cherished his family.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his son: Ben McDaniel (Jennifer); grandchildren: Kinley McDaniel, Logan McDaniel, Emma Escamilla (Isai), Caleb McDaniel, Corrine McDaniel, and Katelyn Morgan; sister: Janice Patridge (Billy); nieces: Angie Sharp (Michael) and Callie Partridge; son-in-law: Leroy Powell; honorary son: Joey Harris; and beloved friend of the family: Melanie Michaels.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Ruth McDaniel; daughter: Julie Powell; granddaughter: Madison McDaniel; and brother: William McDaniel.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Jimmy Harris and Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M., at the funeral home.
