Born Thursday, August 8, 1957, he was the son of the late Raymond McKay and Shirley McKinney McKay. Mr. McKay was a dedicated employee of Jamison Farms since 1982.
Funeral services for Mr. McKay will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Tiptonville Methodist Church. Officiating this service be Rev. Archie Larry. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee. Visitation for Mr. McKay will be held on Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Tiptonville Methodist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Patricia Climer McKay of Tiptonville, Tennessee; two sons, Travis McKay of Hornbeak, Tennessee and Logan McKay of Tiptonville, Tennessee; one daughter, Amanda McKay of Ridgely, Tennessee; his mother, Shirley McKinney McKay of Tiptonville, Tennessee; two sisters, Lois Stevens of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Paulette Clark of Fulton, Kentucky and he was "Poppa" to his six grandchildren, Carson McKay, Waylon McKay, Liahm McKay, Jessie Smith, III (Emily), Chloe Smith and Landon Smith and one great-grandchild, Sophia Smith and soon to join the family, Maggie Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond McKay and one brother, Ronnie McKay.
Honoring Mr. McKay as pallbearers will be Jessie Smith, III, Kyle Franks, Landon Smith, Jimmy Dean, II, Dakota Choate and Jonathan Staggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Forrest McCain, Bill Tolle, Zack Tolle, Travis McKay and Logan McKay.
