Judia "Judy" Hutcheson, 75, of Obion, Tennessee, died on Monday, October 27, 2025, at her residence in Obion, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, March 2, 1950, in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the youngest of eight children born to the late Elmer Franklin Tidwell and the late Lydia B. Johnson Tidwell. Judy was a retired welder with Republic Builders, where she worked many years and took great pride in her work and made many lasting friendships.
She attended Our Little Country Church, where she found joy and fellowship among her church family. Judy loved life and lived it with a joyful spirit. She was especially fond of dancing - whether it was line dancing to Boot Scootin' Boogie or two-stepping with her beloved husband, those were some of her happiest moments.
Judy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, like mowing the grass and spending time outdoors. She also loved camping - especially when the campsite was near the casino. Her famous chocolate gravy and biscuits were a family favorite and a tradition that brought everyone to the table with smiles and full hearts.
Above all, Judy loved her family. She cherished every moment shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hutcheson will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 31, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Royce McGuire. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Friendship, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Donnie Lee Hutcheson (Stacy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Lee Ann Akers (Scotty) of Obion, Tennessee; one stepson, Terry Lee Hutcheson of Crockett Mills, Tennessee and she was "Mamaw" to her four grandchildren, Dillon Hutcheson, Braxton Hutcheson, Bradley Hutcheson and Cody Hutcheson and three great-grandchildren, Raelyn Hutcheson, Braden Hutcheson and Nora Hutcheson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Hutcheson; three brothers, Ricky Tidwell, Wayne Tidwell and Harold Tidwell and four sisters, Bobbie Sawyers, Pat Perry, Brenda Childress and Joyce Patterson.
Honoring Mrs. Hutcheson as pallbearers will be Dillon Hutcheson, Donnie Hutcheson, Bradley Hutcheson, Austin Perry, Scotty Childress and Danny Childress.
