Jimmy Ross McRill, 73, of Springfield, IL passed away on Wednesday April 10, 2024.
Jimmy was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on August 8, 1950 and was the son of Hubert and Ruby McRill.
He was married to Mary McRill who he is still survived by. Jimmy enjoyed watching Illini Basketball, Calvary Basketball, and Chicago Cubs baseball. One of his favorite things to do was to attend as many of his kids and grandkids sporting events while they were growing up. He loved his family and he had an amazing work ethic.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters and 1 brother.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Barbara (Richard) Garrett, James McRill, Richard (Jessica) McRill, Lisa McRill, Eileen Miller, Cheryl (Jason) Hunt, Kimberly (Chris) McRill, and Nolan McRill; 16 grandchildren; brother, Hubert McRill; and his dog (best friend) Trixie.
Cremation services are being accorded.
Jimmy will be having a short visitation for family and close friends at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th Street Springfield, IL 62702 from 11:00 am -12:00 pm on Thursday April 18, 2024.
He will then be laid to rest a Camp Butler National Cemetery accompanied by Military Honors at 1:00 pm.

I met Jim at Springfield Clinic lab! Head a lab assistant and a great worker! I enjoyed working with him and he was a good fried! Heaven gaonef a great guy!
