Jimmy D Pierson

Jimmy Dean Pierson, age 62, of Brownwood, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025. The family will hold a private burial at Greenleaf Cemetery. Jimmy was born April 8, 1963 to James Vine and Betty Jean Pierson in Gatesville, Texas. Throughout his younger years, Jimmy and his brother Billy worked out in the hay fields hauling hay and enjoyed very much of the outdoor life. They learned to hunt, fish and how to fire a gun the right way! The boys could start a fire with a flint and learned how to survive off the land. Jimmy was always bragging about that special time as a kid and all the skills he learned that served him well all of his life. After high school, Jimmy graduated from security academy and worked in that industry the majority of his life. In August of 1988, Jimmy married the love of his life, Carol Smith. Jimmy was a devoted member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ when he was able to attend. He enjoyed football, Dallas Cowboys, drawing, playing the guitar, fishing, camping, working in his shop, scrapping and joking around. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Carol Pierson; daughters, Ashley Smith and Patricia Gartman and her husband Zachary; his brother, Billy Gene Pierson; grandchildren, Skylar Marie Gartman and Warren Valor Gartman; family members, Doyle, Glenda, Richard and David Yancy and their family. Jimmy was preceded in death by both of his parents and his unborn sister.
