Jimmy Keith Rogers, 60, of Edgewood, Texas, passed away on February 18, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at First Baptist Church in Edgewood. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood.
Jimmy Keith Rogers was born on May 28, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, born to Bobbie Lou Rogers and the late Billy Joe Rogers. At the age of four, he moved to Edgewood, where he attended Edgewood Independent School District, graduating in 1982. He later graduated from Eastfield College, earning a degree in pipefitting.
Keith built a distinguished career as a technician at Texas Instruments, where he dedicated 40 years of service. His expertise allowed him to travel internationally, assisting in the opening of new facilities in Japan and the Philippines.
A devoted family man, Keith was previously married and raised two loving children, Ashton and Austin. On November 22, 2008, he married Jennifer Hill Rogers, expanding his family to include two stepchildren, Grayce and Drew.
Keith was an active member of the Edgewood community, serving two terms on the Edgewood City Council. He was also a passionate car enthusiast, particularly proud of his 1972 Chevrolet truck, "Old Blue The 72," which he enjoyed showcasing at car shows, earning numerous trophies. He was also a member of the Hazelwood Car Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Rogers, and a brother Gary Lynn Rogers.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Hill Rogers of Edgewood; his mother, Bobbie Lou Rogers of Edgewood; his children, Ashton Rogers of Wills Point and Austin Rogers of Edgewood; stepchildren, Grayce Hill and fiancé David Fournier and their children Tara and David of Pilot Point and Drew Hill of Nevada; brother, Charles Rogers and wife Jana of Wills Point; mother-in-law, Chloe Rhamstine of Wills Point; stepmother-in-law, Elizabeth McNulty of Canton; He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
