Jimmy Wayne Savage was born to Jimmy Ray Savage and Priscilla Lee (Pruitt) Savage on August 11, 1956, and passed from this life on July 30, 2025, at his home in Comanche, Oklahoma.
Jimmy graduated from Comanche High School in 1974. After his graduation from high school, Jimmy worked at various positions at the local refinery, Halliburton Services, and in the oilfield. His passion was training quarter horses with his father.
After a time, Jimmy continued his education, obtaining a bachelor's degree in accounting from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. After completion of his degree, Jimmy went to work as an auditor for Clifton Scott, Oklahoma State Auditor & Inspector, and worked as a landman running mineral titles. After his retirement, he loved to spend time with family, grandchildren, and friends and was an avid chess and domino player.
Jimmy was known for his sharp wit, playful sense of humor, and an unforgettable way of making people laugh. He faced life's challenges with resilience and always had a kind word for others.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his stepson, Jack Stone; and grandson, Aaron Luce.
Jimmy was much loved by his family and is survived by his children: John Savage and wife Sandra, Jacob Savage and wife Anisha, and stepdaughter Zela Luce, along with his beloved grandchildren: Trenton Luce and wife MaKena, Caden Talley, Conner Luce, Layla Savage, Bently Sain, and Kane Savage. Jimmy is also survived by his sister, Priscilla Bredy and husband Kirk; niece, Abby (Bredy) Belvin and her family; nephew, John Bredy and his spouse; along with many beloved cousins, Marea Tigert, Larry Tigert, Philip D. Pruitt, Weston Pruitt, Angelina Pruitt; and his cherished aunt, Faye Pruitt, along with many others.
He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation services are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
