Jimmy Savage Obituary

Jimmy Lee Savage, age 67, departed this life peacefully on Friday afternoon, October 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He entered this life on December 12, 1957, in San Bernardino, California, born to the union of the late Vadus and Lucille (Padgett) Savage. He left this world in the comfort of his home in Pineville, Missouri, surrounded by the love of his family and the tranquility of the countryside he so cherished.

His formative years were spent in the Oklahoma City area. On August 20, 1987, he married the love of his life, Cindy Boswell, and together they built a life filled with love and shared devotion. The couple made Billings, Missouri their home and spent twenty-four years in Northwest Arkansas before finally settling in Pineville, Missouri, in 2015. Jimmy's brother, Billy Savage of Pineville, survives him, as does his beloved wife of thirty-eight years, Cindy Savage. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Terry Savage.

Jimmy's professional life was as solid and enduring as the material he worked with. As a concrete finisher, he shaped the world around him with precision and care, retiring at age 62 due to health reasons. His work ethic was matched only by his humility and his unwavering commitment to living a Christ-filled life. Jimmy and Cindy were pillars of faith, opening their home for many a bible study and sharing their love of Christ with all who crossed their threshold.

An avid outdoorsman, Jimmy's early life was marked by the thrill of racing dirt bikes. However, as time went on, he exchanged the roar of engines for the gentle nicker of horses. He found great joy in riding and caring for his horses, and his hands were as skilled with a hammer and nails as they were with a bridle and reins. His love for building projects around his family home and tending to his acreage was evident to all who knew him. Many an hour was spent on his Mahindra Tractor, a testament to his love for the land and the outdoors.

Jimmy belonged to a home based Christian fellowship which was a source of great joy and fulfillment. He cherished the fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ, embodying the spirit of unity with a shared faith. His life was a reflection of his beliefs, and he inspired many with his steadfastness and grace.
