Jimmy Neal Scott, Sr.
Jimmy Neal Scott, Sr, age 83, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his residence in Sylvania, GA. with his wife and son by his side.
He was born and raised in Screven County and was the owner of Jimmy Scott Plumbing & Electric.
Jimmy was a devoted husband to his wife of 64 years; Jeanene. He was a proud father of three and a dedicated poppy to his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Dora Scott; son, Jimmy "Neal" Scott, Jr. and daughter, Heidi Scott Harsha.
He is survived by his wife Jeanene Thompson Scott of Sylvania; son: Jody (Christina) Scott of Bluffton, SC; Grandchildren; Kirstie Harsha of Statesboro, Kalli (Erik) Thomas of Savannah, Elizabeth Scott, Dora N. Scott and Joseph Scott of Bluffton, SC; Great Grandson, Scott; a very special niece Sandi VanHoosier and her children Connor and Kaitley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Officiating: Pastor Chad Wall
Services are being handled by Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel.
