Jimmy Dale "J.D." Shamblin

Jimmy Dale Shamblin, lovingly known as J.D. to his friends and family, departed from this world on October 29, 2025, at 31 years of age. J.D. was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on April 27, 1994, a son of Natasha Shamblin-Dabrowski and Stephen Farella. His journey on Earth may have been a battle of addiction, but those who knew him will forever remember the indomitable spirit and radiant soul that would shine bright, especially in the face of adversity.

J.D. attended Strong Vincent, Class of 2013. He was a vibrant individual whose passion for life was evident in his work as a gamer and streamer. He dedicated countless hours to honing his craft and sharing his love for video games, on both Twitch and YouTube. His YouTube channel has an astounding 930,000+ viewers!

J.D. was in constant battle with addiction. He had reached a period in sobriety where he was able to enjoy the passions in his life that everyone had come to love. Substance use disorder is a powerful enemy and can make someone feel alone. We were deeply sadened to find that it victimized another beautiful person.

Since early childhood, he always had an amazing sense of adventure. By the time he was a teenager, that sense of adventure brought him on a hitchhiking/train-jumping journey all the way to St. Louis! Through all of this adventure, he had developed into a loyal, loving, caring, and strong warrior. Despite any of the odds, he was always true to those virtues. He loved his family and friends and always put their needs, first.

J.D. is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather and grandmother, Donald and Elizabeth Totman; his maternal grandfather Jimmy Dale Shamblin; his paternal grandmother Cathe- Owen Boarts; his stepfather Robert Carl Schultz, III.

J.D. is survived by his mother, Natasha Shamblin-Dabrowski (Anthony); father, Stephen Farella (Christi); his long-time girlfriend, Jessica Beatty; maternal grandmother, Cindy Harmon (Dan); Aunt Tiffanie Hamilton (Mike); cousin Nicholas Babay (Caitlin); paternal grandfather Santo "Sam" Farella; and his many siblings- Andrew Schultz, Julien Cilladi, Chelsea Norstedt (David), Kaleb Nicks (Jalisa), Chase Williams, Madison Williams, Sakina McAdory, Stephen Farella, Jr., Santino Farella, and Giovanni LaCastro.

We have loved you always and will miss you forever, our son. Until we meet again.
