Jimmy Watson Stanley

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Jimmy Watson Stanley, age 64, of Adam Road passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025 at his residence. Graveside Services will be held-11:00 AM Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Parker Family Cemetery in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Killebrew.

Mr. Stanley was born on September 21, 1961 in Johnston County to the late Kermit Allmond and Mavis Gray Baker Stanley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Stanley Anderson. Prior to retirement, he was a mail carrier for the state of North Carolina. Mr. Stanley was a devoted husband, father, and Papa. He was a faithful Christian who loved his Lord and Savior and his church. He loved spending time outdoors, tending to his garden and his chickens. He also had a creative side and loved to paint, carve, sketch, and play his guitar. More than anything, he loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Kay Stanley; son, Matt Stanley and wife, Anna; grandchildren, Luke, Ava, and Owen; brothers, Kermit Wayne Stanley and wife, Faye and Eddie Keith Stanley; mother-in-law, Edna Hinnant and husband, Robert; brothers-in-law, Junior Anderson and wife, Brenda, Dennis Pope, and Allen Pope and wife, Wendy; many special nieces and nephews; and his dog, Sadie.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM-Thursday prior to the service at the graveside.
