Jimmy Morrow Stephens, 64, of Drummonds, entered into his heavenly home on September 4, 2025.
Jimmy was born May 8, 1961, to Walter Monroe and Mary Dorothy Stephens of Florence, South Carolina. After graduating high school, Jimmy went on to lead a decorated career in the United States Navy, specializing in aviation ordinance. Jim retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer in 2004 after 22 years of service and dedication to his country.
He loved God, his country, his family, his friends, and all animals, especially his fur-kid Beau and his grand-pup Hank.
Jim was a "life-long learner" and strongly believed that there was always something more to be learned. He earned his Associate of Applied Science in mid-management from Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis as well as his Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. In his free time, Jim enjoyed studying the bible and history, playing golf, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and camping.
Jim is survived by his mother, Mary D. Stephens of Florence, SC; his wife, Donna Stephens; his daughter, Chelsea Lehman (Anthony) of Trumann, AR; his grandson, Joshua Kuck of Summerville, SC; his sister-in-law, Vickey Robertson (Joseph) of Munford and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Walter M. Stephens, JR of Florence, SC ;his son, David J. Kuck of South Carolina; his father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Barbara Tankersley of Drummonds; his brother-in-law, Jerry Dwayne Tankersley and his niece, Heather Tankersley Frame.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 13 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford.
