Obituary For Jimmy Turner
MR. JIMMY TURNER – Age 70 of Calhoun, Georgia departed this earthly life in the warmth of his home with his wife and family on Tuesday evening December 17, 2024, and transitioned into the presence of God.
Jimmy was born on August 15, 1954, he was the youngest of fifteen children born to Sam and Lucy Mae Washington Turner. Educated in the Stephens School System and affiliated with Kingdom Church International under the leadership of Apostle Rondie & First Lady Jennifer Goode.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam & Lucy Mae Washington Turner, daughter Miss Shea Chandler, siblings Mrs. Edna Mae Rodgers, Mrs. Ann D. Boatwright, Mrs. Willie B. Smith, Mrs. Sylvia Curtis, Miss Christine & Bobbie Sue Turner, Misters James, Willie C., Eugene, Paul, and Troy Turner.
Jimmy enjoyed family phone conversations and family visits. He was a carpet installer for over 30 years, who loved improvements. He was passionate about working for Prater Ford not only for the work he did at the dealership but the relationships that he built with the Prater Ford Family.
Left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife of twenty-eight years, Teacher Jessie Turner; daughters Erika Bridges, Tina (Anthony) Gracie and Tia Turner, sons, William Cannon and Tarell Turner; sisters, Wylene Turner, Margaret Martin, and Betty Samples; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Pauline Turner, and Mrs. Sylvia (Ron) Pritchett; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; special friends, and his church family.
Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Kingdom Church International, 5415 Calhoun Road, N. E., Adairsville, Georgia 30103 with Apostle Rondie Goode as Eulogist. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 5:00 P. M. – 7:00 P. M. Interment, Haven of Rest Memorial Park, Calhoun, Georgia.
