Jimmy Lee White, 87, of Graham, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in his hometown.
Born on March 4, 1938, and raised in Graham, Jimmy was a soft-spoken man whose quiet strength touched everyone who knew him. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a loyal friend. A man of few words, Jimmy's presence was steady, dependable, and deeply felt.
He was employed with Burlington Industries for over 30 years, where he was known as a hard worker and a trusted colleague. Jimmy took great pride in his work and provided faithfully for his family through decades of service.
A man of deep faith, Jimmy was a longtime member and Trustee at Burnett's Chapel Christian Church, where he served faithfully and quietly, just as he lived. His presence in the church and community reflected his quiet commitment to doing good, loving his neighbors, and living with humility.
Jimmy found joy in life's simple pleasures - especially cheering on his favorite teams: the Washington Commanders, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and UNC Tar Heels. Whether watching a big game or spending time with family, he cherished the moments that brought people together.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jessie Mae White, of the home; three sons, Steve (Tamika) White of Indian Land, SC, Brian White of Lincoln, IL, and Todd White of Greensboro, NC; and three grandchildren, Darrell Turner (Keisha) of
Burlington, NC, Riyadh White and Stephen White of Indian Land, SC. He also leaves behind two great-granddaughters, Alonah and Ariyah Turner of
Burlington, NC; one sister, Elsie W. Bell of Graham, NC; and one sister-in-law, Hilder Graves of Pittsboro, NC.
Jimmy was blessed with a close-knit family, including four special nieces, three special nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will continue to honor his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Pauline White; his beloved son, Charlie Ray White; three sisters, Liller, Josephine, and Ossie; and three brothers, Ernest Jr., Vernell, and John Robert.
His quiet wisdom, gentle heart, deep faith, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
