Wood, Jimmy of House Springs, Missouri, was born June 12, 1957 in New Madrid, Missouri to William and Shirley (nee Brown) Wood and entered into rest Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 67 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Shirley (nee Brown) Wood.
He is survived by his siblings, Sherry (John) Heberlie and Gloria (Tim) Krebs; nephews, Jason Heberlie and Nicholas Heberlie; grand-nephew, Jayden Heberlie; along with numerous other extended family and friends.
Jimmy was a devoted Cardinals baseball fan, always cheering for his team with unwavering enthusiasm. His heart also beat for the music of Elvis and The Beatles, finding comfort and joy in their timeless tunes. Jimmy had a fondness for gambling, enjoying the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it brought. Above all, he cherished the community he was a part of, always eager to lend a hand and share a laugh. Jimmy's vibrant spirit and love for the things that made him happiest will always be remembered.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016.
