Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright Funeral Home - Randolph on Dec. 26, 2025.
Jinette Cesaire was born in Haiti on October 20, 1977, in Désarmes, Centre Department. She was raised in a modest family consisting of her father, Jeantive Cesaire, her mother, Martha Philistin, her sisters, Marabou Casilus and Diamonde Casilus, her late grandfather, Clermè Cesaire, and her late grandmother, Cecile Saintelia.
After completing her primary education in Haiti, she immigrated to the United States on October 26, 1996. Initially, she stayed in Boston, but later decided to settle permanently in Brockton and enrolled at Madison Park High School to complete her secondary education. In June 1998, Jinette Cesaire received her high school diploma. Around 2000, she participated in a medical assistance program, after which she obtained a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certificate, which allowed her to be hired at Marion Manor Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
In 2007, God answered her prayer by giving her a son whom she named Nathaniel Baker.
In 2009, Jinette went to work at New Bridge on the Charles in Dedham, Massachusetts, where she remained until her last breath.
From 2015 to 2016, she attended Bristol Community College (BCC) in New Bedford, studying to become a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT). In March 2021, Jinette accepted Pierre Judens Berlus's hand in marriage. For some time, Jinette had not been in good health, and her cardiovascular system was not functioning well and was deteriorating day by day. After suffering so much, she decided to go to Boston Medical Center and stayed there for two weeks, hoping to recover and return home. Unfortunately, this did not happen.
During her stay in the hospital, despite her suffering and pain, she wanted to check on the children. Jinette's car was always full of children; she did not only have Nathan as her child, but all the children were like her own. Her dream was to go on vacation with all of them. Jinette's connection with Nathan was something extraordinary! During her time in the hospital, her loved ones, her friends, and acquaintances who gave her courage, energy, always surrounded her and hope, and she remained steadfast in her faith, through prayers and supplications. The Lord decided to call her to be with Him on the afternoon of December 14, 2025. It was in her father's arms Mr. Cesaire that Jinette breathed her last.
The family is grateful to all of you who continue to pray for her and who have provided support during this very difficult time. Our thanks go to all the friends, colleagues, beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, and others who are saddened by this sudden and unexpected loss.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, December 27th, beginning at 8:00 AM in the New Jerusalem Evangelical Baptist Church, 871 No. Main St.,
Randolph, MA 02368. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
