Jo Ann “Mary” Roberson, age 74 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on June 8, 1951, to the late Junior Moir Collins and Gracie Lawson Collins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Collins and Clayton Collins. She had worked for Bassett Walker Industries for over 20 years and loved music, dancing, pets, and people.
Mrs. Roberson is survived by her husband, Danny Roberson of Stuart; a daughter, Michelle Fain of Stuart; a son, David Fain of Stuart; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Georgia Collins Worley (Jerrell) of Stuart; several nieces and nephews; and a special great-nephew, Austin Stowe of Sandy Ridge, North Carolina.
A memorial visitation for Mrs. Roberson will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will be private. The family would like to thank Blue Ridge Therapy Connection, Mountain Valley Hospice, and Patrick County Alzheimer’s Group for their loving care and kindness.
