Jo-Ann Stassi, 71, of Brewerton passed away on March 10, 2025. She was born in Syracuse, New York on January 24, 1954, to the late Aubrey and Ruth Tillman.
She worked at Sackett’s Restaurant and Buckley Landing at Loretto. Jo-Ann was a devoted and loving mother of three children. She enjoyed boating, watching SU sports, listening to music, traveling to Florida, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Roy and Ronald Tillman, her husband, Roy Stassi in 2006 and partner, Owen (Tiny) Hanavan in 2023. She was also predeceased by her son, Michael (Shanna) Stassi in 2021.
She is survived by her brother, Curtis (late Sandra) Tillman, son, Shawn (Stacey) Stassi, daughter, Amber Stassi; six grandchildren, Anthony Auringer, Damon (Emma Gutchess) Pugh, Tyler (Casey) Stassi, Connor (Tricia Pugliese) Stassi, Elizabeth Bridenbaker, Tanner Stassi; three great-grandchildren; Major Nash, Margo Nash, Clark Stassi; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 3-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212. Services will directly follow at 6pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date.
