Jo-Anne Antalik Obituary

Jo-Anne Antalik
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jo-Anne Antalik on February 25th. Born in Bridgeport, CT, Jo-Anne was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Zold. She is survived by her daughter Jill; brother, John "Jay" Zold of Stratford, CT; devoted cousin, Bee DeNitto of Shelton, CT; as well as countless family and friends. In the years before moving to Florida, Jo-Anne found great joy and lasting friendships on the golf course. Jo-Anne enjoyed daily phone calls with friends and family, and cherished special times spent in Alaska. Recently, she devoted her time, as a Volunteer Road Patrol with the Saint Petersburg Police Department, serving her community with pride and making meaningful new friendships. She also liked spending time in nature walking in parks and attending weekly aerobics classes to stay active. Jo-Anne's most cherished times were spent with her daughter. They traveled to many places, making lasting memories, sharing love and laughter. Though we grieve her absence, we are grateful for the memories she gave us and the love she leaves behind. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th, 12:00p.m. at Anderson McQueen, located at 2201 9th Street North.

I have know Jannie since I was 2 1/2 years old. We played together on the streets of Valley Rd. We went to Lincoln school and the big change to Stratfield. My most vivid memory was Jannie doing absolutely everything in thong sandles. Climbing trees riding her bike to Mrs. Barskey´s and playing in our private woods in our backyards. It was a magical childhood.
