Jo Ellen (Jodi) Barnett, born on October 10, 1949 in Gloversville,NY. was taken to her eternal home on September 6, 2025 in Hobe Sound Florida at home with her beloved husband Ricky W. Barnett of 40 years and her daughter Kristi L Hill by her side.
She was a top graduate from Northville Central school in 1967. She was employed as a personal bookkeeper to KC Canary, Mario Papa and Sons, and Jones and Naudin Leather. She also worked for Fulton County Public Health and the city of Gloversville, where she retired and started spending winters in her Florida home.
Jodi as she was affectionately known, was outgoing and fun, loving. She loved her Jazzy Girls and traveling with her husband Ricky as well as riding motorcycles, listening to music, scuba diving, swimming in her pool and soaking up the sun. She also loved fishing and the Hobe Sound beach. She was known and loved by so many friends there.
She was an active member of Abundant Life Ministries Church in Stuart, Florida for 12 years. Her love for her Heavenly Father flowed through her and poured out to all she met. She loved reading her Bible and spreading the word of the gospel.
Jodi was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky W Barnett; sister, Star Weidman; daughter, Kristi Hill (Bradley J Hill); daughter Kara Pagerie (Daniel Pagerie); son, Jacob R. Van Nostrand; grandchildren; Ashley Biron (William Biron), Zebadiah Pagerie, Caleb Hill, Zoe Hill (TJ Wadsworth), Ava Van Nostrand and Jacob Van Nostrand; great grandchildren; Timothy J. Wadsworth and Logan Nadine Wadsworth; step great grandchildren; Lily Biron and Briella Biron; also two nephews and several cousin's along with many other family and friends that will sadly miss her.
