Rosser Funeral Home - CleburneJo Frances Bishop, 86, of Cleburne, Texas, passed away peacefully March 13, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her dearly.
Jo Frances, was born February 13, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, to John Trizza and Dorothy Simmons. She dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working in childcare and investing her time in the lives of families and children in her community. Jo was a strong Christian woman who loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially their roadtrip through the mountains of Colorado. One of their favorite things to do was sit on the porch and watch birds fly around. She found great joy in spending time with those she loved and took pride in watching her family grow through the generations.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alfred Bishop; her sons, Dwayne Grisham (Jerry Dunsmore) and Doug Grisham Sr. (Sam Craft); her grandchildren, Jana Poehlein (Kerry), Erika Grisham, Doug Grisham Jr., Dustin Grisham (Elizabethanne), Ashlee Munden (Ty), and Jayson Grisham (Kaitlyn); and her great-grandchildren, Dalton, Stetson, Tristyn (Morgan), Ethan (Rylee), Dayton, Colt, Mason, Finn, Kynslee, Maddox, and Lyric. nephew Danny Moore (Tricia) and the entire Moore family; She was preceded in death by her son, David Grisham.
A memorial service will be held at Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, TX on Saturday, March 28th, at 10:00 am. Immediately following, graveside services will be held at Everman Cemetery in Everman, TX.
Jo will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, and the deep devotion she had for her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Table, a nonprofit established by her granddaughter’s family to help feed those in need—something that was a shared passion for both Jo and her granddaughter.
