Jo Ann Bryant Morrow was born December 11, 1935, and went on to her Heavenly home Monday, July 28, 2025, reaching the age of 89 years. She was the daughter of the late John Wallace and Pearl (Roberts) Bryant.
She married Boyd Hoover Morrow in 1954 and to this union four children were born.
She is survived by: three daughters, Debra Chittenden (Barton), Diane Davis (Edgar), and Cathy Glass (Gordon); son-in-law, Joe Silvers; six grandchildren, JT Silvers (Dana), Sarah Collier (Dan), Katelyn Perkins (Riley), Laura Jolly (Anthony), Ashley Glass, and Hunter Davis (Shelby), 15 great grandchildren; and one sister, Katherine Dunnington; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, John and Pearl Byrant, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Boyd Morrow; one daughter, Jo Carol Silvers, and two brothers, Wallace Bryant and Howard Bryant.
Jo Ann had accepted Christ as her Savior and spent many, many years in His service both inside and outside the church. She was a secretary by profession and most of her career was spent at the Wayne County Board of Education. Known as Meme, she was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church and Friday, August 1, 2025, from 8 am until the funeral time at 11 am. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Gideon International.
