Jo Anne Dooley, the best Mom/Grammy ever, age 79, of Duluth, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 13th, 2025.

Jo Anne was preceded in death by her husband Roland Eugene "Gene" Dooley, brother Randy Green, and parents Robert and Verna "Billie" Green.

She is survived by her three children: Robert C. Busby of Calhoun, Georgia, Kimberly Denise Miller and her husband Matthew of Snellville, Georgia and Steven Randall Dooley of Duluth, Georgia. Three grandchildren: Shelby Jo Anne Miller and her wife Janna of Snellville, Georgia, Elizabeth Ann Busby and Brandon Fate Busby both of Calhoun, Georgia and multiple grandfurbabies that made her smile and laugh.

Jo Anne was born in Miami, Florida on January 12th, 1946. After her father left the United States Navy, they moved to Kirkwood in Atlanta, Georgia. She spent her youth there on Sisson Avenue, until it was time for her to follow her own path in life. That path was not always easy, but it produced three wonderful children and a decades long marriage to the love of her life, Gene. The home that she built was full of love, warmth and laughter. It served as a safe place, a shelter from life's storms. She was always welcoming and always ready to help someone in need.

Jo Anne was a loving wife, mother and "Grammy." There are no words strong enough to describe how much she was and is loved and how immensely she will be missed. We will see her again, in the next life.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.crowellbrothers.com. Arrangements by Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Norcross/Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. (770)448-5757.
