Rachael Alice Bowen, a cherished wife, loving mother, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on September 13, 2025, at her home in Cumming, Georgia. Born on August 31, 1965, in Norcross, Georgia, Rachael lived her life with grace and purpose, enriching the lives of all who knew her.
Rachael earned her bachelor's degree and enjoyed a successful career in accounting before embracing a well-deserved retirement. Known for her sharp mind and attention to detail, she approached life's challenges much like her favorite pastime-solving puzzles. She found joy in many activities: she was an avid reader, a dedicated triathlon enthusiast, and an inspiring aerobics instructor. Her vibrant spirit shone through in her love for The Golden Girls, a show that reflected her humor, warmth, and appreciation for friendship.
Rachael is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, William "Gus" Bowen; her beloved daughter, Hannah Bowen and her fiancé Logan; brother, Randy Lyle; and her nieces, Shelby Lyle and Allison Losquardo. Each of them carries her memory in their hearts, a testament to her lasting love and influence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Shirley Lyle.
A funeral service to honor Rachael's life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 12:00 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will gather with friends beginning at 10:00 am until the time of the service.
Rachael was a beacon of love, kindness, and quiet strength. Her legacy will forever live on in the minds and hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.
