Jo Baker Moore, age 83, passed away on March 3, 2026, in Pangburn, Arkansas. She was born on November 30, 1942, in Armstrong Springs, Arkansas. Jo brought joy and a humorous spirit to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Jo had a passion for traveling and enjoyed the great outdoors, often indulging in hunting adventures. Her love for the Razorbacks showcased her unwavering spirit and pride, particularly for her home state. Jo's sense of humor was infectious, lighting up the lives of her family and friends.
Jo is survived by her devoted son, Donald Lynn Wilson, and her loving daughter, LaDonna Evans (Scott). She leaves behind a proud grandson, Scott McLeod (Mary), and a cherished granddaughter, Alexis Work (Rich). The joy of her life expanded with the presence of her five great-grandchildren: Catherine, Genevieve, Theodore, Silas, and Stella. Alongside her direct descendants, Jo also had three stepsons: Don, Dale, and Larry, who contributed to her family’s warmth and inclusiveness. She also had numerous more grandchildren and great grandchildren she loved so much.
Jo was predeceased by her beloved husband, Virgil Moore, as well as by her father, Ralph Yearby, and her mother, O'dell Stracener. She was also preceded in death by her dear sisters, Charolett Cleveland and Patricia Johnson, whose memories remain alive in the hearts of those who loved them.
As we reflect on Jo Baker’s life, we remember a woman who embraced every moment with joy and a touch of humor. Her spirit will surely continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
