Jo Waggoner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bailey-Howard Funeral Home of Clyde on Dec. 9, 2025.
Jo Linda Waggoner, 76, of Clyde passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at an Abilene hospice facility. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2025, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with David Peterson officiating.

Jo Linda was born June 19, 1949, in San Antonio to Clyde Hovert and Mary Josephine (Dizard) Waggoner. She attended schools in Hatch, New Mexico and moved to Clyde in 2010. Jo Linda was one of the kindest souls you could ever have had the pleasure of knowing. Her smile and love were shown to everyone that she encountered. She enjoyed spending her time doing arts and crafts and sharing what she made by giving them to others. She loved her sister and brother dearly and enjoyed every minute she spent with them on this earth. She also loved seeing all of her nieces and nephews, giving them "sugars" as she would say. Jo Linda had a special love for her animals, the mountains of New Mexico, sunsets, sunrises and all of her friends, especially those in the Clyde Nursing Home.

Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God.

These Beatitudes in Matthew 5 describe Jo Linda's love for life and even more, her love for her Lord above. She showed this every day through her love and kindness to others.

She is survived by her brother, Clyde Michael Waggoner of Clyde; her sister, Ollie Clydene Waggoner of Clyde and many extended family and friends.

Jo Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her favorite cousin, Rick McGowen.
