Joan Amore, 86, Suamico, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on April 25, 1939, in Oconto, Wisconsin, Joan was the daughter of late Christopher and Grace Follett.

Joan lived a full and beautiful life, rooted in kindness, laughter, and love. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Terry Amore. Their marriage of 68 years was a true partnership filled with shared joys and enduring strength. Together, they raised three children.

A woman of many passions, Joan found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a special love for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flowers and plants, always with a cat or golden retriever nearby. Animals held a dear place in her heart, and she took great pride in raising golden retrievers and caring for her beloved cats. She loved being outdoors, going shopping, and spending time with her treasured group of girlfriends. Above all, being with her family brought her the most happiness.

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Amore; her children, Scott Amore, Steven (Joan) Amore, and Renee (Kevin) Van Pay; her grandchildren, Samantha (Steven) Amore, Christopher (Jennifer) Amore, Matthew (Casey) Amore, Megan (Tyler) Feaker, and Michaela Jukkala; and her great-grandchildren, Macklin, Emilie, Jaymson, Raelynn, and Nora. She is also survived by her sister, Audruy Smith; brother-in-law, John Trepanier; sister-in-law, Margaret Follett; many wonderful friends; and her beloved cats, Victor, Pannie, and Bella.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Grace Follett; brothers, Wesley (Patsy) Follet, Richard (Shirly) Follett, Harold Follett; sisters, Ida Mae (Harry) Messenger, Natalie Trepanier, Marlene (Red) Coty; She is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Judy Amore.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Aurora Hospice staff for the compassionate support and care for Joan.
