Joan Tueller Bingham, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her home in
Clearfield, UT during the evening of Christmas December 25, 2025. Joan was born in
Montpelier, ID on July 14, 1942 to William Von Almen and Azalia McDonald Tueller. She married her eternal companion, Thomas Agee Bingham in the Salt Lake Temple on August 11, 1967.
Joan was active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers where she served as the regional secretary and camp leader. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings including; Relief Society presidencies, Young Women's presidencies, Librarian, Ward Missionary, Primary Teacher, Cub Scout Den Mother, Ogden Temple Ordinance Work, Home Food Storage Specialist, and Relief Society Compassionate Service Leader.
Joan worked for a time at Weber State University in their printing office. She was an extremely talented crocheter, making numerous craft items for friends and family. She enjoyed her daily walks with her friends. She was often found in the service of others, but most of all she loved being with her family.
Joan is survived by her children, Daniel Bingham,
Orem, UT and Katherine (Ryan) Dowdle,
Clearfield, UT; grandchildren Azalia and James Dowdle; sisters Gae (Wayne) Pace St. George, UT, Marva (Richard) Heaton South
Ogden, UT; and sister-in-law Phyllis Tueller Layton, UT. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; brothers Mack and Lester Tueller; and sisters LaRee Burgener and Linda Tueller.
The family wants to express sincere appreciation to the hospice nurses from Active Home Care and Hospice Melissa, Liz, Melinda, and Jenn as well as the doctors who helped Joan be comfortable upon her passing.
Viewing services will be held both Monday, December 29, 2025 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd.
Ogden, UT between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, then again Tuesday, December 30, 2025, between 12:30-1:30 pm. A graveside service will then follow the viewing at 2 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.
