Joan Lorraine (Sanderlin) Briggs, 90, of Randolph, NY, passed away on Wednesday,

September 24, 2025 at the Warren Manor in Warren, Pa. with her family at her side.

She was born May 30, 1935 in Buffalo the daughter of the late Mark G. Sanderlin and Murtie Flagg. She was a graduate of Randolph Central School and the WCA School of Nursing with a certification as a Registered Nurse.

Joan was a 50 year employee of WCA Hospital where she was a registered nurse in Maternity. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revoltion in Jamestown, Randolph Fraternal Order of the Eastern Star Fidelity Chapter and former member of the Randolph

Loyal Order of the Moose. She enjoyed reading and traveling.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Timothy Sr) Pence of Randolph, five grandchildren; Timothy (Dana) Pence Jr., Jennifer (Jon) Pence-Pintea and Ashley N. (Todd) Pence, Courtney (Jeremy) Zimmerman and Kimberly Eberle and 3 great grandchildren, Kyra, Quinn and Easton Pence.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Eberle Sr. and second husband, Donald G. Briggs, three siblings, Sherwood, Lawrence and Marjorie Doud, and a son, James R. Eberle Jr. on August 13, 2025.

Relatives and friends may attend a Memorial Visitation from the VanRensselaer and Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 1pm-3pm, Burial/Inurnment will be in the Randolph Cemetery.

All memorials can be made in lieu of flowers and sent to the Randolph Regional EMS, 70 Main Street, Randolph, NY 14772. e. To leave a condolence, log onto www.vanrensselaerandsonfuneralhome.com.
