What a special lady Joan was. We have fond memories of knowing Joan, attending church with her years ago, and also great memories of her birthday party some years ago (50th or 60th?). Loved visiting in her apartment; it was always so neat and she had it decorated beautifully. She will be missed by all, but we know where she is today and that she is out of pain. Thinking of each of her family members at this sad time.

Bert, Jeff, and Steve and your families, it goes without saying we have lost a very special person, and Heaven has gained a new Angel. Joan and I have been friends for some 50 years, and they were 50 years of wonderful times together. We only had one little spat, and we were both quick to talk it out because it was just simply a misunderstanding. She was a good friend to me, and I hope I was to her. She was like the sister I never had. We are all gong to miss her for a variety of reasons, but we all have one thing in common...we loved her very much. I am so sorry she is gone, but so relieved she is no longer suffering. She had been in pain for a long time. She is with Frank and Jane and your parents and all those that have gone before her, and above all she is with our Lord. You can't ask for a better homecoming. May you rest in peace old friend until we see each other again.
