Joan Cabral Obituary
Joan was an only child who grew up in Fall River, MA. She was a 1951 graduate of Dominican Academy, an all-girls Catholic school in Fall River. After graduation, she worked at W.T. Grant Five & Dime, then did clerical work at the Firestone Plant in Fall River until her marriage to George. She always said the best job she ever had was as a mother and homemaker. She was a devoted wife and mother, nana and great-nana, and a long-time parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at 12 o'clock PM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 3 Village Rd., Newnan, GA, with Fr. Michael Revak officiating. A private burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, GA. Rather than flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, designated to the Building Fund, 3 Village Rd., Newnan, GA 30265.
Surviviors include son, George (Jody) Cabral Jr., of Hampton, GA; daughters Susan (Rick) Fuller of Fayetteville, GA; and Carol (Mike) Bridwell of McDonough, GA. Grandchildren, Trevor (Melanie) Bartlett of Fayetteville, Heather (Brent) Cloud of Fayetteville, GA, Christopher (Susan) Carson of Lubbock, TX, Timothy (DeLancey) Carson of Alpharetta, GA, George (Snow Lynn) Cabral III of Cave Creek, AZ, Tiffiney Whiting of Litchfield Park, AZ, Eric (Lisa) Bridwell of Fayetteville, GA and Steven (Whitney) Bridwell of Carnesville, GA.
Great grandchildren Gavin, Taylor, Braden, Braelyn, Lilly, Gage, Emma, Harris, Cooper, Rowen, Caleb, Libby, Chaucer, Attix, Brinley, Brayden, Kennedy, Wirth, and Brock.

I am very sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She was such a sweet and beautiful lady. We have so many wonderful memories from Welcome Street. It was always a good thing when you all visited your grandparents, the gathering at there house is still talked about today. If I am not mistaken your Mom was the last of a great generation of a wonderful family that had great parties on Welcome Street.
