Joan Carol Canada (nee Ragsdale), of Chesterfield, MO, passed away at home Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Edward Canada; cherished daughter of the late William and Susan Ragsdale; Loving Aunt of Mark (JoAnn) Christensen and the late Ross Christensen. Joan was affectionately known as Nana to Hailie, Mason(Katherine), Landen, Fiona, Aidan, Ryder and Scarlett. She is proceeded in death by her sister Ruth Christensen and two brothers Bob and LeRoy.  

Married for 55 wonderful years, Joan and her husband shared a life filled with adventure, traveling the United States together, and enjoying square dancing. Joan was a very passionate teacher for 40 years. She had a special fondness for outdoor activities and backyard barbecues, always looking forward to family gatherings where her home was filled with laughter and joy. 

Joan was a beautiful person, both inside and out. Her patience and kindness were boundless, and she was always the first to provide for her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and friends, whether it was crafting, painting, crocheting, or simply basking in the sun by the pool.

Joan Canada will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of love, creativity, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joan's honor to Tunnel to Towers.
