Age 84
Joan Carrie Saracco Trombetta, 84, of Mt. Lebanon, PA and more recently McMurray, PA, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025. Joan is survived by Richard, her husband of 60 years. Joan was a devoted mother to Tracey Eakin (Larry), William Trombetta (Janet), and Julie Simko (Steve). She was a loving Nana to Annie, Katie, John, Joey, Sarah, Noah, Nick, and Jake. She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Margaret Saracco, and her beloved brother, Jack who is survived by his wife, Karen Saracco.
Joan's professional life was varied and marked by her dedication and service. She began her career with United Airlines, where she worked as a reservation agent and special services agent. After stepping away to raise her family, Joan continued her commitment to supporting others by becoming an Administrative Assistant and providing career counseling support with Davenport and Associates. She also held roles at the Agents Building, offering her organizational and support skills to various offices.
Joan was a tireless volunteer, lending her support to many organizations including Performing Arts for Children, Music for Mt. Lebanon's Keynotes, and Family Hospice, just to name a few. Her creative and artistic contributions were given to many of the events hosted by those organizations and she was a treasure to anyone who worked with her. Joan's volunteerism extended to her work with the Mt. Lebanon Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and her involvement with the cafeteria and office at Foster Elementary School. She and Richard shared their love and their home with a lifetime of furry friends whose lives were blessed by her and her family's rescue efforts.
Joan was a beloved neighbor and friend to many. She was also a faithful servant to her church, contributing her time and heart to its community.
Joan's family and friends remember her fondly for her Sunday "Spag Night," a cherished tradition where loved ones gathered for her fabulous food, laughter, and togetherness.

I remember her smile, her laughter and her kindness. I also remember those beautiful freckles on that beautiful face. She lit up a room when she entered it. I haven´t seen Joan for a very long time but I can still see her face as clear as if it was yesterday. May Jesus wrap his arms around this beautiful family and comfort them through this very difficult time. No one wants to hear that she´s in a better place, but I believe that she is in a better place. She´s sitting with our heavenly father and making him laugh as she did others. Rest in peace sweet Joan.
