Joan Marie Cerone / Obituary November 1937 – April 2025 ********************* In loving memory of Joan Marie Cerone who passed peacefully at home on April 25, 2025. Joan was a lifelong resident of Elmwood Park where she resided with her loving parents, Salvatore and Mary, who predeceased her. She had a successful career with Marriott where she worked for many years. Joan also had a loving family, leaving behind her cousins Phyllis Coppola, Judith Cardella, and Diane Woertz, among many other cousins and their families, as well as her dear and lifelong friends, Corinne Cronk, Annie Carberry and her husband, Pat and their families. Joan will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her memory remains. In the words of poet, Thomas Campbell, "to live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die". Joan is with us…. Services for Joan, who will be laid to rest by the Patrick Conte Funeral Home located in Elmwood Park, will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 10:00 a.m. Joan will then be taken to Calvary Cemetery in Paterson and her eternal resting place beside her parents, Salvatore and Mary. .
