Joan M. Chasey

Joan Chasey, 93, of Williamsburg, entered into God's loving care on February 12, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Chasey and her son, Paul H. Chasey. Joan was a teacher, as well as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She and her late husband enjoyed 70 years of marriage together. She enjoyed volunteering, sewing, reading and playing games with her great-grandchildren. She always will be remembered for her faith and charity and how she always welcomed friends and family in her home for one of her remarkable life stories. She is survived by her grandchildren, Scott Chasey (Cassie) and Paulette SanGiovanni (John); and great-grandchildren, Renee Chasey, Rebecca Chasey, Michael SanGiovanni and Jay SanGiovanni. A funeral service will be held at Williamsburg Christian Church on Friday, February 17 at 11:30 AM, with interment to follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park. A reception will be held at the church following the interment. Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's memory to Williamsburg Christian Church, 200 John Tyler Lane, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
