Joan Crucitti Obituary

Joan worked for IBM for many years and most loved spending time with her family and friends, which included several trips south with Sherry and her niece Brenda, to visit her sisters. There were many treasured holidays and birthdays spent at her home where she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
It was always a gathering spot for family and friends to relax and enjoy the pool.
Just passing by her home, her love of flowers and birds was obvious.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Crucitti in 1972; as well as her parents Fred and Golda (Gifford) Reynolds, father/mother-in-laws Carmello and Rose Crucitti, siblings Richard Reynolds, Elizabeth Reynolds Hodgdon, Robert Reynolds, James Reynolds, Lenore Reynolds Brown, Legrand Reynolds, Cora Reynolds Bresnahan, sister-in-law Carolyn Savageau and brother-in-law Ralph Crucitti.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Crucitti, son Robert Crucitti Jr, son David Crucitti and his wife Kathy, daughter Barbara Schindo and her husband Gary; grandchildren Eric Crucitti and his wife Kaitlyn, Thomas Crucitti and his wife Jen, Troy Schindo, Kylee Schindo and her partner Derek Beauchemin, Randy Bibens; great grandchildren Amelia, Samantha Joan, Samantha, Ellie and Wyatt.
Also surviving her are her sisters Jane Bellefeuille, Ruth Keech and Chris Reynolds Parks, brother in-law Michael Crucitti and his wife Joy, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Berlin Meadows Nursing home for taking such great care of Joan and making her passing peaceful. They are gifted, wonderful people.
There will be no funeral services. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

My sincere condolences to all of you. I have so many fond memories growing up because of the Crucitti family. Sleepovers on the back porch and in the shed, swimming, snow forts, koolade for the mailman, climbing the Deyoungs tree, holiday parties, playing Tommy Rowe and The Beetles in the basement, bugging all the neighborhood moms sitting around Joan´s table trying to have adult conversation, Joans blackberry pie, and radio in the kitchen set to easy listening, the Farrah Fawcett poster in the boys room, David´s "balanas", Sherry´s tv shows, Bobby´s quiet way, and Barbara´s friendship. Soooo, sooo many wonderful memories. Joan was "my mom away from mom" very early on, before 1st grade, taking care of me while my parents were working. I´ll never forget her warm and inviting manner. Ever.
