Joan B. Davis, born on June 29, 1965, in Cincinnati, Ohio, left this world unexpectedly on February 6, 2025, after a tragic accident. A beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Joan's vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Joan grew up surrounded by the love of her family, including her devoted mother, Bonnie Long, her step-father, Dennis Long; Joan also survived by her loving husband, Kelvin Davis, and her three sons, Kelvin Jr., Jeremy Davis. Stepchildren Crystal Davis, Keondra Davis, Shaquita Putnam, Alonzo Grier; several grandchildren, her brothers Allen and Jeffrey Fritz, and her sister Marie Fritz. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was endlessly devoted to nurturing and guiding them through life. She found joy not only in her family but also in the simple pleasures of life. Her laughter, which could brighten even the cloudiest of days, was a hallmark of her warm personality. She was known for her infectious smile and her ability to make others feel cherished.
As a dedicated clerk at Walmart, Joan poured her heart into her work, forming connections with both colleagues and customers. But her true passion lay in the great outdoors. Whether hiking the trails of Tennessee or swimming in the refreshing waters of a nearby lake, the mountains were her happy place-a sanctuary where she could escape and recharge.
A funeral service to honor Joan's life will be held on February 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Calvary United Methodist Church, where family and friends will gather to remember her, share stories, and celebrate her spirit. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at the same location beginning at 11:00 AM, allowing loved ones to come together in reflection and support.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Joan B. Davis as a beacon of light, whose laughter and love will forever echo in our hearts.
Joan was preceded in death by: father Edward Fritz
