Joan Delaney

Joan Delaney (nee DiMarino), 83, of Malvern, PA, the daughter of the late Joe and Anne DiMarino (nee Cappelli) of Paoli, PA passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Joan was a devoted wife to her late husband Tom Delaney for 57 years and a loving mother to her two children Paul (Kelly), John and her grandchildren Ryan, Andrew and Campbell. She was a proud graduate of Conestoga High School (1960), where she served as Secretary of her class, was a spirited member of the cheerleading team, junior prom queen and a runner up in the Miss Paoli contest. After graduating, Joan worked for Wayne Federal Savings where she was also featured in their annual advertising campaigns. Joan took great pride in working part time in healthcare and retail as she raised her family and ultimately found her niche' as a full time furniture salesperson for David & David Furniture where she was recognized by Thomasville Gallery as the top salesperson in PA. Joan enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and family, helping to coordinate many high school reunions, volunteering at the Great Valley School District office, actively supporting the GV football boosters club, attending Saints Phillip & James church, baking the best chocolate chip cookies and family vacations in Ocean City, NJ. She also had a tremendous love for sports, which she credits her dad for teaching her at a young age and her mother for listening to every Phillies game on the radio. Later in life Joan found great comfort and peace simply curled up in her family room with her husband watching Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Penn State football games. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Joan is survived by her brothers Joe (Joyce) DiMarino, Phil (Eleanor) DiMarino, and sister Debbie (Tony) DiAntonio, along with her nieces and nephews who she adored. At Joan's request, services were held privately. A celebration of life will be held on January 4th, 2026, at the Loch Aerie Mansion in Malvern from 1pm-4pm.
