Joan Finneran, 90, of Pittsburgh, passed away on June 28, 2024. The daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Ash) Stegeman, she was born on May 22, 1934. Joan was a proud graduate of the University of Mount Saint Vincent. She enjoyed bowling weekly and being a part of her book and gourmet clubs. Joan was a member of the St. Thomas More choir for 45 years. Most of all, she found enjoyment in being a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Brian Finneran, Tom (Lisa) Finneran and Kathy (John) Klinkner and four grandchildren Maddie, Katie, Ian, and Gabbie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Finneran and her brother, Arthur Stegeman. Family and friends welcome Friday, July 5, 2024, from 3-6 PM at FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 112 Fort Couch Rd., Bethel Park, (Opposite Macy’s South Hills Village) 15241 (412-835-1860). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10 AM at Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church, 126 Fort Couch Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241, with Fr. Michael Ackerman, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
