Joan N. Foster

1942 - 2024

Joan N. Foster, 81, of Acme, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, July 20, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on July 26, 1942, in Delaware County, a daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes Moore Brannen. Joan received her Associates Degree from Cumberland County College in 1984. She worked for Wheaton Glass in Millville, NJ for over 20 years. Upon relocating to the Acme area in 1988, she was formerly employed by Attorney Robert Blum, and later by Union Apparel. Most recently, she did credentialing at Excela Health until her retirement in 2022. She enjoyed her part time job in retail sales working for Kaufmann's, which later became Macy's Department Store. She was Catholic by faith. She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Bolton and his wife Dawn of Mont Belvieu, TX; two grandchildren, Courtney Bish and her husband Cory and James Bolton and his fiance Lindsay Carder; great-grandchild, Jameson Bish; two sisters, Mary Anne Risley and her husband Allan of Dayton, OH and Agnes Reyes and her husband Federico of Mount Dora, FL; and one brother, Raymond Brannen and his wife Darlene of Reno, NV. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eric Foster. Friends and Family will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of the funeral services, Friday, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E.
