Joan Hays

Joan Barber Hays, 85, of Provo, Utah, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026. She was born on June 2, 1940, in Provo, Utah, where she spent her life surrounded by family, community, and the place she always called home.

Joan was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was the center of her life. She was known for her strength, kindness, and steady presence—always offering support, warmth, and wisdom to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.

She is survived by her sons, Gilbert Hays and Walter Hays; her grandchildren, Tosh Hays, Gerrit Hays, Steffany Kelly, Jason Marks and Tristan Hays; and her great-grandson, Atlas Hays. She was preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed her with open arms.

Joan will be remembered for her enduring love, her quiet resilience, and the deep roots she planted in her family. She will be dearly missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
