I remember always preparing the church bulletins with Joan. We would always arrive early for Sunday worship and both of us would prepare the worship material . She always made me feel like a part of her family and her smiles, hugs and kisses were very gratifying.

My earliest memories of Joan was at Prince of Peace Church. She and her husband were in the back of the church during services. After her husband passed away, she would sit near the front with the other ladies. She had such kind words to say about my Mom when she passed, I really appreciated them. I looked forward to seeing Joan in church and later going out for breakfast at the Quaker Diner with her son and his husband. Always a kind word, a smile and her laugh, that was Joan. I will miss her very much.

Being at Prince of Peace and hearing Mr. Hummel's laugh. Your mom and dad made the church bazaar's fun. Thank you for sharing your parents with us. Their smiles were infectios.
Our hearts and prayers are with you, Tom, Sandra & Ryan
